Soldiers from five of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization nations participating in Summer Shield XIII stand ready to lower their country’s flag during the closing ceremony of Summer Shield XIII, April 29, at Adazi Military Base, Latvia. Soldiers from Latvia, Canada, Germany, Lithuania and the U.S. have been conducting a variety of training together during Summer Shield XIII, an annual two-week long interoperability training event in Latvia.
