A military ceremony is taking place on a grass field, featuring soldiers in camouflage uniforms gathered around a vintage olive-drab military utility vehicle (M151 MUTT jeep). The vehicle's bumper markings read '1SF 5SFG B06', indicating 1st Special Forces, 5th Special Forces Group. An elderly civilian in the vehicle appears to be receiving a beret or hat placement from soldiers, suggesting an honorary or commemorative event.

Retired Maj. Gen. John K. Singlaub (seated), presents the Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Mark A. Milley, a green beret with new flash during the flash changeover ceremony at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, March 23, 2016. During the ceremony, 5th SFG(A) reinstated the Vietnam-era beret flash, adding a diagonal yellow stripe with three red stripes to the existing black and white background. The stripes pay homage to the Group's history in the Vietnam War and its crucible under fire.
