U.S. Marine and Sailors help guide and offload Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) equipment from a Landing Craft Air Cushion aboard the USS Somerset (LPD 25) Feb. 21, 2016, in preparation for the culminating training event of Exercise Iron Fist 2016. Exercise Iron Fist is an annual, bilateral training exercise meant to strength the USMC and JGSDF's ability to plan, communicate and execute amphibious landing operations.
