The USNS John Ericsson pulls up next to USS Ashland (LSD 48) and unloads goods Feb. 4, 2016. The Ashland recently went underway with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit Marines and sailors as part of the MEU’s spring deployment, a regularly scheduled deployment designed to support PACOM's theater security cooperation initiatives to promote goodwill, and strengthen allied relationships.
