Mid-day turning into the sunlight, US Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crew chief Spc. Jordan Beshaw from Company A, 2nd Battalion, 82nd Aviation Regiment maintains security and control of his M240 Bravo machine gun mounted to the side of the Blackhawk helicopter while flying over Zabul Province, Afghanistan. The mission responsibility of a crew chief is to sustain security of the aircraft while missions are conducted scanning the terrain below for hostile activity.
