U.S. Marine explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians with 1st EOD, Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, stick a block of C4 explosive onto 81mm high explosive mortars on a demolition range at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Nov. 9, 2015. The C4 is used during a controlled detonation to rid high explosive 81mm mortars that were deemed unserviceable by an ammo technician. 1st EOD is an element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command, in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.
