Jones, a Gagetown, New Brunswick, native, is serving her first deployment to Afghanistan in the Kandahar province after a 23-year career in the Canadian armed forces."I believe . . . that the cooks are the crown jewel of the FOB. They have to sparkle, because everybody sees them?We get tired, we get cranky, but we're the ones that have to fix it right away and get past it," said Jones.
