    Canadian Sgt. Karen Jones, the kitchen officer of the Wilson dining facility, stops to chat with diners here, Dec. 1. Jones, a Gagetown, New Brunswick, native, is serving her first deployment to Afghanistan in the Kandahar province after a 23-year career in the Canadian armed forces. "I get to see everybody everyday. Everybody that's on this FOB, I see them everyday. I may not know everybody's name but I know everybody's face," said Jones.
