SASEBO, Japan (Nov. 19, 2015) – Captain Jeffrey Ward, commanding officer of forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), presents a group photo to Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) Lt. Gen. Kiyoshi Ogawa, commanding general of the JGSDF Western Army, during a tour of the ship. Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and is forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
