A person with hands clasped in a prayer or reverent gesture bows before a commemorative stone monument at night. The monument bears a bronze plaque identifying the site as the former Honolulu International Center (1963–1976), dedicated by the City and County of Honolulu on September 12, 1964. The stone is adorned with a traditional Hawaiian lei, and the scene is illuminated by artificial lighting against a dark blue evening sky.

151110-N-IU636-952 HONOLULU (Nov. 10, 2015) A woman bows her head in front of the new war memorial plaque unveiled at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu during a war memorial plaque rededication ceremony. The ceremony served to remember, preserve and rededicate the center as a war memorial with the unveiling of a new memorial plaque. The original plaque is believed to have gone missing some time by 1970. On Sept. 12, 1964, the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, formerly the Honolulu International Center, was dedicated as a living memorial to all of Hawaii's war veterans and war dead.
