Soldiers with 3rd Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Iraqi Army Division, based at Combat Outpost Hawas, Al Anbar province, Iraq, stop traffic while paratroopers with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division (Advise and Assist Brigade), drop off cargo-scanning explosives detection equipment at a traffic control point Nov. 20, 2009. The AAB is deploying the vans to help Iraqi security forces thwart the trafficking of arms and explosives in the run-up to February 2010 national elections.
