Pfc. Jose Hernandez, an infantryman with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division (Advise and Assist Brigade), mans a machine gun turret atop a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle while his squad monitors vehicle-scanning explosives detection equipment to assist Iraqi security forces at a traffic control point near Fallujah, Iraq, Nov. 22, 2009. The vans are being deployed to help ISF thwart the trafficking of arms and explosives prior to the national elections scheduled for February 2010.
