A bench in a small field is illuminated during the Marine Corps Community Services Tours Plus Spooky Sites Tour Oct. 22 on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. A children’s playground once lay in the overgrown field, in front of what is now known as Hospital Cave. The cave was known for its use as an air raid shelter and field hospital for the Imperial Japanese forces during World War II and was one of four stops made during the tour. The tour has been held annually around Halloween for the past 10 years. The Spooky Sites Tours are scheduled to continue until Nov. 1.
