U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Gary Dennis, 18th Equipment Maintenance Squadron foreign object damage program manager, explains to Kadena’s honorary commanders the different processes that take place to prevent FOD from interfering with aircraft during an honorary commander tour Sept. 29, 2015, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. Dennis explained how it is every Airmen’s job to ensure that the flightline is free from loose sand, rocks, fasteners, screws, metal and glass as part of a safety procedure. These safety precautions help the 18th Wing maintain strategic access and freedom of movement across all domains. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lynette M. Rolen)
