Atushi Nerome, honorary 18th Maintenance Group commander, stands in front of an F-15 Eagle honoring his position during an honorary commander tour Sept. 29, 2015, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. The honorary commander program has been utilized by Kadena for 14 years. This year’s tour allowed the honorary commanders the opportunity to see many of the processes that go into maintaining Kadena’s aircraft.
