The 18th Wing seal is displayed on a table along with other subordinate group and squadron emblems during an honorary commander tour Sept. 29, 2015, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. Honorary commanders learned about the importance of maintainers and their involvement with taking care of aircraft. Their work is monitored by multiple layers of supervisory personnel who inspect aircraft to ensure that they are ready protect and defend the U.S. and its allies.
