The change of command ceremony celebrated the relief of Major Gen. H. Stacy Clardy III and the newly appointed commander, Simcock, for 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Simcock’s previous duty was deputy commanding general of 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, II MEF. Simcock is from San Mateo, California. Clardy is a native of Georgetown, South Carolina.
