    Chief Petty Officer Matt Odom, a resident of Coos Bay, Ore., inserts a safety pin into the float arm assembly. The float arm assembly supports the skimmer in the water and uses a system of hydraulics and air pumps in order to remove heavy oil on the oceans surface.
