(June 16, 2015) — Builder 1st Class Brian Whitsitt, assigned to Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC), performs measurements with high school students to create a set of stairs during the Naval Base Ventura County science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) summer camp. The students, from schools around Ventura County spent the day at Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1, Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, and NCTC to learn how the Seabees apply STEM to construction as part of the four-day camp around Naval Base Ventura County.
