Joshua Baker, executive officer of Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, briefs high school students on the team’s underwater construction projects and capabilities during the Naval Base Ventura County science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) summer camp. The students, from schools around Ventura County, spent the day at Naval Construction Group (NCG) 1, UCT 2, and Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) to learn how the Seabees apply STEM to construction as part of the four-day camp around Naval Base Ventura County.
