Lt. Gen. Charles Jacoby (left), commanding general of Multi-National Corps – Iraq, gives a congratulatory thump to Manns Choice, Pa., native, Col. Dave Buckingham, during his promotion ceremony, Sept. 1, at Combat Outpost Cashe South, Iraq, located in the Ma'dain region outside eastern Baghdad. Jacoby served as Buckingham's division commander during Buckingham's time in Alaska as a battalion commander. Buckingham currently commands the 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Multi-National Division –Baghdad.
