US Coast Guard Art Program 2015 Collection, 'Flared Up' [Image 8 of 28]
In this work from the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program 2015 Collection, “Flared Up,” ID# 201508, crewmembers participate in pyrotechnics training discharging MK-124 smoke and illumination signals at Station Shinnecock’s Boat Crew College in Hampton Bays, New York. Reserve boat crew colleges allow reservists to get a concentrated dose of instruction that concentrate on classes including towing, man overboard drills, flood control, survival swimming and engineering casualty control exercises.
