U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Jason Berry, 823rd Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron water and fuels system maintenance journeyman, out of Hurlburt Field, Fla., gets the last bit of mortar out of a mixing machine at the Gabriela Mistral primary school in Ocotes Alto, Honduras, June 3, 2015, after creating a batch of mortar. The school project is one part of the New Horizons Honduras 2015, an annual humanitarian and training exercise put on by U.S. Southern Command. New Horizons was launched in the 1980s and is an annual joint humanitarian assistance exercise that U.S. Southern Command conducts with a partner nation in Central America, South America or the Caribbean. The exercise improves joint training readiness of U.S. and partner nation civil engineers, medical professionals and support personnel through humanitarian assistance activities.
