The concussive force of the firing of the 155 mm high explosive round forces smoke halos around the M109A6 Paladin and crew. Pvt. Cartier Lindley, Pfc. Sean Schuhart, Spc. Adrian Williams and Sgt. Derek Loggains fire the round from behind their Paladin using a lanyard to fire May 2 at the Cold Springs Multipurpose Range Complex here as part of a direct fire demonstration for community members and families. The Soldiers of A Battery, 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division conducted the demonstration as part of the battalion’s Molly Pitcher Day. Families and community members got to see many of the tactical vehicles and pieces of equipment used in artillery during the event.
