U.S. Army Spc. Joshua Smith, assigned to Alpha Company, Allied Forces North Battalion, stands and listens to his citation during the NATO Meritorious Service Medal award, in JFC Brunssum, The Netherlands, April 7, 2015. Spc. Joshua Smith is the first Junior Enlisted Army Soldier to receive this award. He distinguished himself while performing preventive and corrective maintenance on deployable Satellite Based Transmission Systems while supporting NATO operations in Kosovo and NATO Communications and Information Agency.
