S.C. National Guard Soldiers and Aviators from the 2-151st Security and Support Aviation Battalion use a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to drop water from a Bambi Bucket onto a small forest fire water during a fire suppression training exercise at McEntire Joint National Guard Base and Manchester State Forest April 10, 2015. The training exercise, in cooperation with the S.C. Forestry Commission, is conducted to increase the readiness of and train aircrews while testing lines of communication between Guard and civilian personnel. The S.C.N.G. and other civil authorities train together numerous times throughout the year to combine assets, resources and capabilities in preparation to respond to a variety of possible emergencies.
