Three men are working on what appears to be a military vehicle in a desert environment. Two men wearing blue work uniforms and baseball caps are performing hands-on mechanical work on the vehicle's surface, while a U.S. Army soldier in camouflage uniform observes and supervises. The scene suggests a training or advisory interaction between military personnel and civilian workers.

Two Iraqi mechanics work on the diesel engine of an M109A1 howitzer under the guidance of Maj. Matthew DeLoia, an advisor with a Military Transition Team team assigned to 34th Armored Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division, at Camp Taji, north of Baghdad, July 2. Refurbishment of the howitzer is 90 percent complete, according to DeLoia, an artillery officer from Duluth, Minn. DeLoia said the MiTT team has received help from the Pennsylvania National Guard's 109th Field Artillery Regiment, assigned to the 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team.
