150324-N-NT265-232 EAST CHINA SEA (March 20, 2015) – Sailors, assigned to the forward-deployed Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), load ammunition into the ship’s aft CIWS . Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is currently underway in the 7th Fleet Area of Operations.
