150322-N-NT265-033 EAST CHINA SEA (March 22, 2015) – An MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor (VMM) Squadron 262, lands on the flight deck of the forward-deployed Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is currently underway in the 7th Fleet Area of Operations.
