Erik Rangel, regional desk officer for U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/ U.S. 4th Fleet, spoke to an audience of military officers from nations such as Chile, Peru, Belize, Colombia, and Brazil during the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation visit to recognize the cooperation between South American nations and the United States to stop illicit drug trafficking and increase maritime security in the U.S. 4th Fleet area of responsibility.
