150225-N-RC734-165SAN DIEGO (Feb. 25, 2015) –Sailors assigned to amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) man the rails as the ship passes under the world famous Coronado-Bay Bridge while returning to homeport Naval Base San Diego after completing its maiden deployment. San Diego, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, and the embarked 11th MEU is returning following a seven-month deployment to the 3rd Fleet, 7th Fleet and 5th Fleet areas of operation.
