John Roman Galo and Valeria Lucia Montemayor honor the American national anthem at the International Bridge ceremony on the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge in Laredo, Texas, Feb. 21. Galo and Montemayor were the United States' Abrazo Children for this year, and began the ceremony by abrazando, or embracing, two children from Mexico. The ceremony commemorates the bonds between the United States and Mexico and features a series of abrazos, or embraces, between representatives of the two countries in the center of the bridge.
