Brig. Gen. Orlando Salinas, the deputy assistant adjutant general for the Texas Army National Guard and wife, Mary Salinas, ride a jeep in the Washington's Birthday Parade through downtown Laredo, Texas, Feb. 21. The parade followed the International Bridge Ceremony on the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge spanning the United States and Mexico. The ceremony commemorates the bonds between the United States and Mexico and features a series of abrazos, or embraces, between representatives of the two countries in the center of the bridge.
