Soldiers of the 181st Engineering Company stand ready to remove snow from the Brigham Circle MBTA train stop as a part of continuing snow removal operations, Feb. 17. The dump truck, pictured, and many others like it were used to carry tons of snow to dumping grounds where it has been being flash-melted by turbine melters. “We got the call at 6 a.m. that we had a mission,” said Sgt. Joseph Dowling of the 181st, “and my Soldiers were in their trucks ready to go in less than 25 minutes. It’s great to be able to use our equipment to help the city.” (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Evan Lane, 65th Public Affairs Operations Center)
