SAN DIEGO (Feb. 19, 2015) -- Maj. Gen. Lawrence D. Nicholson, commanding general, 1st Marine Division, displays the Medal of Honor previously awarded to the ships namesake, Gen. Alexander A. Vandegrift, at the decommissioning of the Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate USS Vandegrift (FFG 48).
