Fort Worth District’s Trinity River Corridor Project Director Rob Newman briefs U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and city of Dallas officials Tuesday on the two major Corps projects in Dallas using the wall map behind him. The local sponsor’s Dallas Floodway Extension Project, now under construction, combines flood-risk management, ecosystem restoration and recreation. The proposed Dallas Floodway Project, inside the existing levee system, is awaiting final review at USACE Headquarters.
