Pakistani and U.S. ground crew personnel assist the unloading of a U.S. Air Force C-17 cargo plane at Chaklala Airbase, Pakistan, May 20. The aircraft delivered 120,000 prepackaged halal meals and tents for use by Pakistanis displaced by fighting against militant groups in the northwest areas of the country. The supplies were the first of $10 million in aid scheduled to be provided by the U.S. Department of Defense, in addition to a commitment of over $100 million in aid by the United States government.
