Sgt. Rodney Davis, from Cleveland, Tennessee, bench presses 265 pounds during the Flex Your Pecks for Breast Cancer Awareness event Oct. 5 at the House of Pain Fitness Center South on Camp Hansen. The event was held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Approximately six billion dollars are committed to research and awareness of breast cancer each year, according to the Breast Cancer Society website. Factors contributing to higher risk of contracting breast cancer are age, gender, and genetics, according to the site. Davis is a motor transportation mechanic with Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Devon Tindle/Released)
