Culinary specialist Petty Officer 2nd Class Jesus Madera spoons batter into a bowl for Sam the cooking guy, a San Diego celebrity chef, aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. During his tour, Sam got a first-hand look at how the bakery prepares bread, desserts and simple meals. Ronald Reagan and Carrier Air Wing 14 are underway conducting a sustainment exercise in the Pacific Ocean.
