(Left) Army Lt. Col. George Chizmar, Air Force ground liason detachment commander, hides a fire hose behind his back as Lt. Col. Sam "Spam" Milam, 75th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron commander, prepares to dismount his A-10C Thunderbolt II after logging his unit's 10,000th combat flight hour with one Air Expeditionary Force rotation. The lieutenant colonel was congratulated shortly thereafter with a short burst of water from the base fire department. This was the first time a squadron deployed at Bagram Air Field reached 10,000 combat hours. The 75th EFS arrived in September for a four-month deployment, but was extended to six months. The A-10 Thunderbolt II was the first tactical fighter aircraft to deploy to Bagram Air Field in 2002.
