Lt. Col. Sam Milam, 75th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron commander, prepares to dismount his A-10C Thunderbolt II after completing a mission that broke the unit's 10,000th combat flight hour mark during a single deployment rotation. This was the first time a squadron deployed at Bagram Air Field reached 10,000 combat hours. The 75th EFS arrived in September for a four-month deployment, but was extended to six months. The A-10 Thunderbolt II was the first tactical fighter aircraft to deploy to Bagram Air Field in 2002.
