More than 40 Boston Consortium Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) new freshmen midshipmen completed a weeklong freshman orientation on Naval Station Newport here, August 27. The new midshipmen are part of a consortium comprised of NROTC midshipmen from Boston University, Boston College, Northeastern University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard, and Tufts University. The new midshipmen spent the week being introduced to ROTC and were told what to expect being part of the NROTC unit over the next four years of training.
