Boston Consortium Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) new freshmen midshipmen participate in a drill training session on Naval Station Newport Aug. 27. The new midshipmen are part of a consortium comprised of NROTC midshipmen from Boston University, Boston College, Northeastern University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard, and Tufts University. The new midshipmen spent a week at Naval Station Newport as part of freshmen orientation to introduce them to ROTC and prepare them for their next four years of training.
