A group of approximately 8-10 armed military personnel are conducting what appears to be a live-fire training exercise on an outdoor range. Soldiers are in various tactical positions including kneeling, crouching, and standing, with weapons raised toward silhouette targets downrange. U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South conduct combat marksmanship practice with Brazilian Marines during a theater security cooperation event on Marambaia Island, Brazil, Aug. 6, 2014. CMP was conducted over a two day period, where the Brazilian Marines demonstrated their mission specific tactics and the SPAMGTF demonstrated theirs. During the TSC, the Marines also conducted bi-lateral exchanges on combat tracking, explosive ordnance disposal tactics and medical aid. By sharing professional expertise with our partners, we develop, maintain and strengthen the relationships that facilitate cooperation in the event of a crisis requiring a multinational effort. SPMAGTF-South is currently embarked aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in support of her maiden transit, "America visits the Americas." (U.S. Marine Corps photo by 1st Lt.
