A CH-53E Super Stallion from the Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron-22 (VMX-22) deploys a palletized load from above 10,000 feet during the Joint Precision Airdrop System (JPADS) testing conducted Aug. 1 at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground. “VMX-22 has come out to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and … the Yuma Proving Grounds to assist in the testing of the JPADS to jointly evaluate this system and help the JPADS program,” said Capt. Joseph Montagna, a CH-53E Super Stallion pilot with VMX-22 and a native of Manassas, Virginia.
