Marine parachute riggers with 1st Marine Logistics Group prepare to deploy a palletized load during the Joint Precision Airdrop System (JPADS) testing conducted Aug. 1 at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground. The system being evaluated utilizes a series of palletized loads with parachutes on them that are guided via GPS inputs to very precise locations on the ground.
