A soldier in camouflage uniform is firing a Javelin anti-tank missile system in a forested outdoor environment. The missile is visibly in flight with a smoke trail, while the launch tube shows a backblast flame. The setting appears to be a military training exercise based on the controlled environment.

Sgt. Michael G. Black (left), an Algonquin, Ill., native serving as a section leader for 1st Platoon, Troop B, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, fires a Javelin anti-tank missile toward its target situated more than two kilometers away July 29 at Estonia’s Tapa Training Area. Senior Estonian military officers and government officials watched the live-fire demonstration of the portable anti-tank missile launcher.
