Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, attends a tour and brief given by the Louisiana National Guard and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Aug. 4, 2014. The tour included a brief on the reconstruction of the 17th Street Interim Control Structure and the Permanent Canal Closure Pumps. Mills also attended briefs covering the Louisiana National Guard’s capabilities, response to and preparedness for natural disasters.
