Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, and other MARFORRES Marines receive a tour given by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Louisiana National Guard, Aug. 4, 2014. The tour consisted of visits to the 17th Street Outfall Canal, London Ave Outfall Canal, Seabrook Floodgate and the Jackson Barracks. In addition to the tour, the Louisiana National Guard held an organization briefing for the Marines, covering the National Guards capabilities, response to and preparedness for natural disasters.
