Rashid District Council Chairman Yaqoub al-Bakhaty expresses appreciation and gratitude for the renovating and re-opening of the Doura Public Library, Jan. 21, in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. Yaqoub Yosif (left), Saad Tuaima, radio host for al-Jamaheer (the Public), and Hashim Dahash, Rashid DC deputy chairman, also commemorated the educational institution. "Iraq is developing everyday and this library is part of this civilization's development as a result of security provided by the Iraqi (security) forces supported by the Americans," said Yaqoub. "This accomplishment is a result of neighborhood stability combined with the efforts of the Doura residents."
